Brendan Meffan (BPhty Cred MDT) is set to begin as our new Physio working from Bannatynes Health Club, Queen Street, and Henderson Row from Monday the 18th of July.
He qualified from Otago University (Dunedin, New Zealand) in 2005 and has worked in private practice since graduation. Brendan is moving up from London to join our Edinburgh clinic and we're looking forward to welcoming him into our fold!
His experience encompasses a broad range of clients; from sports people at a variety of levels, namely rugby and basketball at national level and cricket to international level, to those suffering occupational stresses and strains. Having competed in running events up to ultra-marathon distance, Brendan loves the challenge of treating obsessive runners using a combination of skilful manual ! therapy and in-depth rehabilitation to provide the most effective relief of pain.
His greatest challenge is making sure his patients understand their injuries in order to prevent recurrence and apply self-management techniques in order to keep healthy.
Outside of work, he's looking forward to sampling Edinburgh's diverse cultural scene, peaceful days fly fishing and the social round of golf. Brendan has enjoyed ski seasons in Canada and Japan and looks forward to further exploring the slopes of Europe over the coming years.
We hope to see you soon,
The Physio Team
